Dance Meets Fashion is an initiative of the Centro Koubek that brings together two creative worlds -dance and fashion design—into an immersive program that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, artistic experimentation, and the visibility of emerging talent.
This program creates a unique platform for emerging and established dancers and choreographers from South Florida to present their work in a professional setting, while also offering fashion design students an opportunity to showcase their designs and engage directly with the performing arts.
Call for Submissions
Dancers and choreographers from South Florida are invited to submit a short dance work for consideration.
A panel of industry professionals will review all submissions and select five projects.
The selected artists will enter a collaborative process with fashion design students who will design original costumes inspired by the artistic vision of each choreography.
Final Showcase
The program will culminate in a live performance at the Koubek Center on February 22, where the selected dance pieces and costume designs will be presented together on stage, followed by a Q&A with the artists and designers.

- Choreography of no more than 10 minutes
