The event is\u00a0free, and its main goal is\u00a0to expose kids to the richness and variety of the cultural traditions in our diverse community.\u00a0These gatherings will tickle children\u2019s curiosity while using the power of stories to bring people together, promoting literacy, and nurturing the next generation of engaged world citizens. We want to\u00a0encourage kids to read and develop a passion for books and literature. Culminating each day, we will serve a special picnic with blankets on the lawn and baskets full of books, in both Spanish and English.<\/p>\n<p>The next picnic will feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Puppet workshop by Colombian actress <strong>Danly Arango<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Creative Stage Productions<\/strong> returns with its entertaining characters.<\/li>\n<li>The Spanish children\u2019s play \u201c<strong> En El Pa\u00eds de la Cocina<\/strong>\u201d by the theatrical group <strong>Artefactus.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Percussion workshop led by Mexican-American artist <strong>Nabedi Osorio<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Presented by <b>Fundaci\u00f3n Cuatrogatos<\/b> and Koubek Center.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Picnic de Libros\u00a0is a bilingual, family day program featuring storytelling, theatre, music, arts and crafts, dance, and picnic baskets full of books, for families to enjoy together.
