What has distinguished L\u00f3pez\u2019s career since its beginnings has been his approach, aiming at putting the timple on the global stage and exploring its possibilities in fusions beyond traditional music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u00f3pez<\/strong>, accompanied by his quintet and special guests, including Cuban singer <strong>Ayme\u00e9 Nuviola<\/strong>, fresh from her performance at the Latin GRAMMYs, and legendary percussionist <strong>Sammy Figueroa<\/strong>, will perform at <strong>Miami Dade College\u2019s Koubek Center<\/strong> on <strong>Friday, November 18<\/strong>. This evening, L\u00f3pez will present his new album, <em>Alma <\/em>(Virgin Music), his fifth under his own name but the first on an international label.
