Esto lo altera tanto que decide oponerse a esa mudanza. Lo que no sabe es que la nueva vecina es la Sra Amor\, un personaje completamente opuesto a él\, lo cual lo empeora todo. Así\, el Sr. Odio emprende un plan para atacar a su nueva vecina e impedir que se instale en ese apartamento. Lo que nuestro odioso personaje no sabe\, es que todo lo que intentará hacer en contra de su vecina\, retornará a él para cambiar su vida. \nA children’s play about Mr. Hatred\, a lonely and sullen character with a very bad temper who\, very early in the morning\, finds out that a new neighbor is about to move next door. This upsets him so much that he decides to do everything in his power to prevent this from happening. What he does not know is that the new neighbor is actually Mrs. Love\, who is completely opposite from him\, making the situation even worse for Mr. Hatred. What our hateful protagonist did not know is that everything he intended to do against his neighbor ended up changing his life. DESCRIPTION:Pareja abierta\, by Dario Fo and Franca Rame\, is a play that offers a satirical critique to the double standards on sex and marriage. It tells the story of a liberal couple with an open relationship\, in which the only one truly enjoying the “freedom” is the man. Full of comical skits and delirious situations that ease addressing the subject matter\, the play shows\, at the same time\, the reality of a world that predominantly remains male-dominated.  \n\n\nPareja abierta\, una obra escrita por Dario Fo y Franca Rame\, plantea en tono de sátira una crítica a la doble moral que existe alrededor del sexo y el matrimonio. Relata la vida de una pareja liberal con una relación abierta\, donde el único que disfruta verdaderamente de esa “libertad” es el hombre. Es una obra llena de gags cómicos y situaciones delirantes\, que ayudan a suavizar la trama\, pero que muestra\, a la vez\, la realidad de un mundo que sigue siendo predominantemente machista.

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy rediscovering classic Italian commedia dell’arte or exploring Theatre of the Absurd from the comfort and safety of home through Facebook Live. These stage readings\, a collaboration with MarGi Happenings\, showcase the work of quintessential playwrights and feature some of our favorite local Hispanic actors. All readings are in Spanish. \nIn Picnic Fernando Arrabal\, one of the most recognized playwrights in the Theatre of the Absurd\, denounces the irrationality of war with and illogic\, and at times sinister\, humor. It’s an unexpected situation: The parents of Zapo – a recruit fighting in the war – arrive at the battlefield to have a picnic with their son. That’s when an enemy soldier shows up and they all share a day in the field in a friendly atmosphere. Surprised\, they discover no one wants the war and decide to end it. \nVirgilio Piñera\, one of the greatest exponents of the “literature of the absurd”\, shows in his play Estudio en blanco y negro (Study in Black and White) the conflicts created by the lack of communication between people. The action happens at a park where two men argue\, hotly\, about black and white\, one is a fervent partisan of one color\, the other is just as vociferous a defender of the other color. Wanting to prove their points\, each one tries to get the support of a couple\, sitting in a nearby and occupied in their amorous business. Without wanting to\, the couple gets snared in the debate. Finally\, a fifth character shows up to offer an unexpected solution. \nDisfrute redescubrir la clásica commedia dell’arte italiana o explorar el Teatro del Absurdo en el confort y la seguridad de su hogar a través de Facebook Live. Estas lecturas escénicas\, producidas en colaboración con MarGi Happenings\, sirven de escaparate al trabajo de excepcionales dramaturgos y el talento de alguno de nuestros mejores actores hispanos. Todas estas lecturas son en español. \nCon su obra Picnic\, Fernando Arrabal\, uno de los más reconocidos dramaturgos del Teatro del Absurdo\, denuncia la irracionalidad de la guerra desde un humor ilógico\, a veces siniestro. La situación es inesperada: Los padres de Zapo – un recluta peleando en la guerra – llegan al campo de batalla a celebrar un picnic con su hijo. Allí aparece un soldado enemigo con quien comparten un día de campo en un clima amistoso. Sorprendidos\, descubren que ninguno de ellos desea la guerra y deciden terminar con ella. \nVirgilio Piñera\, uno de los mayores exponentes de la “literatura del absurdo”\, muestra con su obra Estudio en blanco y negro los conflictos que se crean por la falta de comunicación entre las personas. La acción transcurre en un parque donde dos hombres discuten acaloradamente entre el blanco y el negro\, uno partidario ferviente del primer color y el otro del segundo. Cada uno\, queriendo probar su razón\, trata de obtener ratificación de una pareja sentada en uno de los bancos del parque ocupada en sus asuntos amorosos. La pareja\, sin querer\, se ve involucrada en el debate. Al final un quinto personaje llega a esta escena para ofrecer una inesperada solución.
