SUMMARY:Virtual Storybook Picnic / Picnic de Libro en Casa
DESCRIPTION:Along with the Fundación Cuatrogatos and Miami Book Fair\, the Koubek Center has re-imagined our Storybook Picnics as virtual events\, encouraging kids to create their personal version of the picnics at home while joining us on our virtual picnic. The 30-minute bilingual Storybook Picnics at Home take place twice a month\, and feature story time\, mime and circus performances\, children’s theatre\, music\, percussion and arts and crafts demos. Kids can invite their favorite stuffed animals\, GI Joes\, dolls\, and toys to join them on a blanket; or have their BFF connect at the same time. Some might like to create a video or reading from their favorite book to share with their friends online. \nEn colaboración con la Fundación Cuatrogatos y la Feria del Libro de Miami\, estamos re-imaginando nuestros Picnics de Libros como encuentros virtuales bilingues de 30 minutos que contarán con cuentacuentos\, actuaciones de mimo y de circo\, teatro de niños\, música\, percusión y más. Para estos Picnics de Libros ¡en casa!\, queremos animar a los más pequeños a que se inventen su propio picnic en casa al mismo tiempo que se unan a nosotros en nuestro picnic virtual. Los niños pueden invitar a sus animalitos de peluche favoritos\, sacar sus GI Joes\, muñecas y juguetes\, y traerlos a su manta de picnic. También pueden invitar a sus mejores amigos a que conecten al mismo tiempo para poder jugar virtualmente juntos.

SUMMARY:Mini Concierto con Elastic Bond
DESCRIPTION:Elastic Bond infuses an uplifting sound self-described as psychedelic tropical soul. The band originally started out as a loose studio collaboration between Venezuelan producer-musician Andrés Ponce and Honduran singer-songwriter Sofy Encanto\, and soon developed into a unique blend of Funk\, Hip Hop\, Soul and Latin written and performed in Spanish and English. In 2013 Elastic Bond signed with Nacional Records\, and released their album “Real” in the US and Japan which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Latin Alternative charts and made a few top lists of 2013. In 2017\, the band released their latest album “Honey Bun” which presents an organic soul sound with a glaze of hip hop and it’s the band’s first vinyl release. \nElastic Bond desarrolla un sonido único que se define como soul tropical psicodélico. La banda comenzó originalmente como una colaboración entre el productor y músico Venezolano Andrés Ponce y la cantautora Hondureña Sofy Encanto\, y pronto se convirtió en una mezcla particular de Funk\, Hip Hop\, Soul y música Latina escrita e interpretada en español e inglés. En 2013\, Elastic Bond se unió a Nacional Records y lanzó su álbum “Real” en los Estados Unidos y Japón\, debutando número 1 en las listas de iTunes Latin Alternative. El propósito del TOSF es crear un nuevo espacio que le permita a profesionales\, nuevos creadores\, y a esa fuente inagotable de talento joven y estudiantes pertenecientes a la era de la generación digital\, exponer sus inquietudes creativas en un encuentro virtual presentando obras de teatro de alta calidad artística. Para participar en el Festival\, la obra debe tener algún vínculo representativo de la cultura hispana\, tendrá un mínimo de dos personajes (cada actor debe actuar por separado en su propio espacio) la duración debe ser de un mínimo de 30 minutos y un máximo de 40 minutos \nThe Koubek Center and MarGi Happenings\, a non-profit local organization that presents arstistic happenings throughout Miami\, present Teatro On Screen Fest\, Festival Virtual de Teatro Hispano Miami 2020 as part of Hispanic Heritage month\, celebrated in the United States. The purpose of TOSF is to offer theatre professionals and that vast pool of young talent that thrives in the digital era\, a platform to explore threatre through a virtual lens by creating theatrical pieces specifically created to be consumed virtually. To participate in the Festival\, the plays must have some link to Hispanic culture\, have a mínimum of two actors (they must act in physically separte spaces)\, and have a duration of between 30-40 minutes.
