DESCRIPTION:En colaboración con la Fundación Cuatrogatos y la Feria del Libro de Miami\, estamos re-imaginando nuestros Picnics de Libros como encuentros virtuales bilingues de 30 minutos que contarán con cuentacuentos\, actuaciones de mimo y de circo\, teatro de niños\, música\, percusión y más. Para estos Picnics de Libros ¡en casa!\, queremos animar a los más pequeños a que se inventen su propio picnic en casa al mismo tiempo que se unan a nosotros en nuestro picnic virtual. Los niños pueden invitar a sus animalitos de peluche favoritos\, sacar sus GI Joes\, muñecas y juguetes\, y traerlos a su manta de picnic. También pueden invitar a sus mejores amigos a que conecten al mismo tiempo para poder jugar virtualmente juntos. \nAlong with the Fundación Cuatrogatos and Miami Book Fair\, the Koubek Center has re-imagined our Storybook Picnics as virtual events\, encouraging kids to create their personal version of the picnics at home while joining us on our virtual picnic. The 30-minute bilingual Storybook Picnics at Home take place twice a month\, and feature story time\, mime and circus performances\, children’s theatre\, music\, percussion and arts and crafts demos. Kids can invite their favorite stuffed animals\, GI Joes\, dolls\, and toys to join them on a blanket; or have their BFF connect at the same time. Some might like to create a video or reading from their favorite book to share with their friends online.

DESCRIPTION:Little Havana Social Club ¡en casa! will bring home the sounds and spirit of the fiesta de barrio with a contemporary Miami touch. Rooted in tradition but also electric and cosmopolitan\, the new monthly concert series Little Havana Social Club ¡en casa! will feature established artists such as Jahfe\, Leslie Cartaya\, and The Wizzards. Beginning Thursday\, October 29\, and continuing on November 19\, and December 17\, Little Havana Social Club ¡en casa! will weave the sweet swing of son into the rich history of Miami soul and R&B; surpise the audience with the unique atmosphere of Teatro Salvaje; mix ancient Afro-Venezuelan grooves and electronica; and tell us stories through the soul-flavored vocals of Keba or in the powerful poetry of Lyrical G from Guitars Over Guns. With the original artwork of Luis Valle aka El Chan Guri and hosted by the one-and only Latin Grammy nominated DJ and Producer Mr. Pauer\, the Little Havana Social Club ¡en casa! series will air on Facebook @KoubekCenterMDC. \nLittle Havana Social Club ¡en casa! te trae a casa los sonidos y el espíritu de nuestras fiestas de barrio — pero con un toque del Miami de hoy.
