DESCRIPTION:The Koubek Center will be accepting applications for its annual artist residency program\, En Residencia\, from March 18 through April 30. Local creators are eligible regardless of their discipline or stage of their career. The selected artists will be notified by June\, at which time they can begin their residencies. The membership fee for En Residencia is $200 and is valid for a year. During that time\, artists can use the classrooms and limited studio space\, which ranges between 400 and 750 square feet. The spaces will be available Monday through Friday\, from 9 am to 8 pm. Artists may block spaces for up to 2 months per project\, with a maximum of two projects per year. The Koubek Center will consider flexibility regarding the length of individual residencies on a case-by-case basis. \nEl Koubek Center estará aceptando solicitudes para su programa anual de residencias artísticas\, En Residencia\, a partir del 18 de marzo hasta el 30 de abril. Los artistas y creadores locales son elegibles independientemente de su disciplina o en que etapa de su carrera se encuentran. DESCRIPTION:“La Vida es un Gran Bolero” \nComedia en dos actos. \nLa palabra griega metanoia es frecuentemente traducida en la tradición judea-cristiana como arrepentimiento\, pero su traducción más fiel es cambio de mente\, de corazón\, o\, si queremos\, cambio de rumbo. Y de eso se trata esta comedia. Cambio de rumbos. \nTula\,(Noris Joffre) bolerista retirada\, ya nada espera de la vida. El club nocturno\, del cual es dueña\, ha estado cerrado por muchos años y\, como ella misma\, sufre el deterioro del abandono y la falta de propósito. \nToni\, (Yani Martin) que aspira a ser cantante\, es una joven que comienza su vida dando malos pasos y que se ve obligada a sobrevivir en un ambiente que hasta el momento le ha sido adverso y hostil. \nLa una da su vida por terminada. FL 33135 \nA 1920s English seaside town bears witness to a dark and absurd scandal in this riotous mystery comedy. Based on a stranger than fiction true story\, Wicked Little Letters follows two neighbours: deeply conservative local Edith Swan (Olivia Colman) and rowdy Irish migrant Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley). When Edith and fellow residents begin to receive wicked letters full of unintentionally hilarious profanities\, foulmouthed Rose is charged with the crime. The anonymous letters prompt a national uproar\, and a trial ensues. However\, as the town’s women – led by Police Officer Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) – begin to investigate the crime themselves\, they suspect that something is amiss\, and Rose may not be the culprit after all. \n—– \nThea Sharrock is is an English theatre and film director. In 2012\, she directed Tom Hiddleston in Henry V as part of the BBC’s miniseries The Hollow Crown. Sharrock’s feature film debut\, an adaptation of the novel\, was Me Before You (2016) which grossed $207 million worldwide.
