The Koubek Center presents the next edition of our virtual concert series Little Havana Social Club ¡en casa! on Friday, April 16th at 8 p.m. on our Facebook Page: @KoubekCenterMDC.

Latin Grammy nominee DJ and producer Mr. Pauer will set the tone of the program with his signature Electrópico sound, mixing electronic dance music with several standard music styles from the Caribbean, blending tradition with a contemporary Miami flavor.

The program will showcase the unstoppable Miami duo Afrobeta who has been tearing up the dance floors with their unexpectedly colorful explosion of feel-good lyrics, electronic beats and psychedelic mischief. Joining Afrobeta will be a special performance of breakdancing, popping, and freestyling from Developing Dreams choreographed by Pablo Malco and an enigmatic performance by Venezonix, a group that creates a magical fusion of Afro Venezuelan rhythms with electronic music and technology led by Andres Ponce, producer and founding member of Elastic Bond.

The performances will be filmed and edited by audiovisual director and producer Juan Enis who has worked with top Spanish and Latin American Artists including Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bose, David Bisbal, Enrique Bunbury, and La Oreja de Van Gogh, as well as has directed documentaries for Spanish Television(TVE) and ARTE, the European Television Channel (French and German). Nicaraguan-born and Miami- raised artist Luis Valle, aka El Chan Guri, whose easily recognizable style blends influences from indigenous cultures, and shamanism, will contribute to the visual vocabulary of the series. An internationally recognized artist, his work can be seen throughout South Florida as he has created commissioned murals, and paintings for public art projects, corporate clients, and neighborhood initiatives.

Join in on the fun, Friday April 16th, starting at 8 p.m., through Koubek’s Facebook Page  – https://www.facebook.com/events/2803054859934917/
