Inez Barlatier is a first generation Haitian-American multi-disciplinary artist. She began her music career at the age of 12 years old as a member of her father’s band, Jan Sebon & Kazak International. Her life-long passion for multicultural and folkloric music informs her work (“[I love the] music from Africa, Brazil, Latin America, anything with roots in it,” she once said). As for the lyrics, the subjects vary greatly, from love to social criticism, but the message “is positivity.”
