V Festival de Cine y Derechos Humanos de Madrid

For the second consecutive year, Miami Dade College’s Koubek Center and the Spanish Cultural Center of Miami will present a selection of films from the Human Rights Film Festival of Madrid. The Festival, in its fifth edition, focuses on the diffusion of films with themes that are included in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “from a pluralistic vision, based on reconciliation and the culture of peace.” The selection criteria for the Madrid Festival is, in part, a response to the threat to human rights posed by the rise of authoritarian political trends in the world and the pandemic.
The selection of films to be presented by the Koubek Center and the Spanish Cultural Center includes documentaries and works of fiction. All films are in Spanish with English subtitles.
To access the film presentations, those interested must RSVP and register using the link below the festival announcements. Then, by email, they will receive a link and password the day of the films. Each day requires a different link which will only be available for two days.

Por segundo año consecutivo el Koubek Center del Miami Dade College y el Centro Cultural Español de Miami, presentarán una selección de películas del Festival de Cine y Derechos Humanos de Madrid. El Festival, en su quinta edición, esta enfocado a la difusión de cine con temáticas que estén incluidas en la Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos, “desde una visión pluralista, basados en la reconciliación y la cultura de la paz”. El criterio de selección del Festival de Madrid es, en parte, una respuesta a la amenaza a los derechos humanos que representa el aumento de las tendencias políticas autoritarias en el mundo y la pandemia.
La selección de películas que será presentada por el Koubek Center y el Centro Cultural Español incluye documentales y obras de ficción. Todas las películas son en castellano con subtítulos en inglés.
Para acceder a los films, los interesados deberán inscribirse usando el link. Luego, por correo electrónico, recibirán la dirección y contraseña del día para el Festival. Cada día requiere una contraseña diferente y cada película estará disponible dos días.
